Indian Trails has its own identity beside Indian Hills. Indian Trails and Indian Hills are separately named City neighborhoods. The lower-slope setting, Valley View Road and nearby Braemar give Indian Trails a distinct place in a southwestern Edina home search.

Here, the land is worth noticing before the house's room count. The approach to an entry, the grade of a yard and the outlook from a lower level can all shape the way a property lives. Ramblers and two-story homes are part of the neighborhood's housing story, without defining every home now offered.

Street names that help place the neighborhood

Sally Lane, Paiute Drive and Samuel Road are useful streets to recognize in Indian Trails. The City street map places them in the residential area north of Valley View Road, with Braemar farther south. These are practical orientation points for a visit, not a substitute for checking a particular address.

On these lower slopes, a home may meet the street differently from the way it meets its backyard. That makes the exterior worth walking: the patio, deck and garden may reveal the property more clearly than the front elevation alone.

Braemar's trail landscape

The nearby Braemar Park trails add a different outdoor setting from the residential streets. The City distinguishes hiking from mountain biking and describes soft-surface hiking routes with hills. Trail conditions can be muddy or icy, so choose a designated route and check current conditions.

This is a useful extension of a neighborhood visit. An outing on an unpaved trail has a different feel from a walk along Valley View Road, and seeing both makes the recreation connection more tangible. Nearby parkland does not create a private access right from an adjoining home.

A seasonal golf practice destination

The Braemar Golf Dome at 7420 Braemar Boulevard lists 44 tee areas on two levels, Toptracer technology and a practice putting green. Check its current seasonal hours before going. These are indoor practice facilities, distinct from both the outdoor golf courses and the park's walking trails.

For someone who uses Braemar regularly, that range of destinations is part of understanding Indian Trails. The meaningful question is which activity and entrance would become part of your routine, rather than whether a listing broadly says it is near golf.

Compare Indian Trails one property at a time

Valley View Road and Highway 169 provide recognizable orientation, but neither settles the experience of a particular residential street. Compare the house and its lower-slope setting together, and avoid broad price assumptions based on its relationship to Indian Hills.
